Heli Ouyang, based in Kunming, Yunnan, received his BA in philosophy and MFA in photography, currently works as a lecturer in Yunnan Art University, Mr. Ouyang’s art practice is engaged in an interdisciplinary approach to image practice in philosophical, historical and archaeological perspectives. He is committed to the study of the craft of photographic tradition and the medium of the image in the history of photography, and brings his philosophical reflections and broad interests in the humanities to his consideration of the photographic image. His representative works include the series ‘The Wilderness of Time’, the series ‘Poetics of Space’, and the series ‘The Arche’.
